Newborn Photographer in Dulwich — Portraits at Home, Exactly Where They Should Be

Dulwich is one of those parts of London that feels slightly apart from the rest of it — quieter, greener, with a particular quality of light that I've noticed across many years of working there. The wide streets, the parks, the generous Edwardian and Victorian houses. It's good territory for newborn photography.

Though I should say: the territory never really matters. I bring my own light.

The quality of light in your living room is not something you need to worry about. Neither is whether your flat is big enough, or tidy enough, or whether the décor is right. None of that affects the portraits.

What in-home newborn photography in Dulwich — or anywhere — actually requires is warmth, time, and a baby who will eventually sleep. The warmth is for the baby. The time is for the session to unfold at whatever pace your baby sets, which is sometimes fast and sometimes very slow and occasionally involves feeding three times in two hours. The sleep comes eventually. It always does.
