I'm Kate.
I've been photographing newborns in London for eighteen years — over a thousand sessions, in homes across every corner of the city. I don't work from a studio. I come to you.
Everything needed for a classical, composed newborn session arrives with me: professional portrait lighting, organic wraps in soft neutrals, posing equipment, and enough patience to wait out even the most unsettled baby.
You stay home.
Your baby stays in the space they already know. And the portraits look exactly as if they were made in the finest studio in London — because the equipment is the same. Only the address changes.
Most London newborn studios ask you to travel across the city with a baby who is days old, park, carry, and then try to relax in an unfamiliar room. I've never understood why, when the best light, the calmest baby, and the most natural portraits all happen at home.
An in-home session also gives the images something a studio cannot: context. The window you sat by during the night feeds. The blanket that was already there. The quiet that belongs to your family. These details find their way into the photographs without trying.
I'm based in Bromley and photograph newborns across all of London — South East, South West, Central, East, and North. If you're within the M25, I'd love to hear from you.

Ideally before the baby arrives — sessions fill quickly and the newborn window is short. The best portraits happen in the first ten to fourteen days. Enquiries are welcome from your second trimester onward.

Always. Settling a baby is the largest part of what I do. Sessions are unrushed and shaped entirely around your baby's rhythm — if they need to feed, be held, or simply take longer to settle, we take that time. There is no clock running.

Very little. I ask that the room is warm and that you have a few hours free. I bring everything else.
